Mandi: Coalition governments at the Centre have failed to deliver, leading to the world casting a doubt on India’s ability, therefore stability was vital for keeping the pace of development going. This was stated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi while virtually addressing the Yuva Vijay Sankalp Rally organized by the State BJYM held at Paddal Ground Mandi today. The Prime Minister had to cancel his visit to Himachal’s Mandi due to inclement weather.
Prime Minister said India has been immensely benefitting from the enthusiasm and skills of the youth of Himachal Pradesh. He said that the Government was committed to provide maximum opportunities to the youth to make them partner in development.
While acknowledging the contributions of Himachal Pradesh in development of the nation and safeguarding the frontiers, Narendra Modi said that the hilly State has played a significant role in the progress of India’s development and freedom movement. He said that the energy of the youth of Himachal is being continuously harnessed for the country.
Prime Minister also assured the people of the State that he would soon visit Himachal to seek the blessings and benevolence of people of the State. He also mentioned that the Union Government has allocated record funds for national highways in Himachal Pradesh and has approved the proposal to add the Hatti community of Sirmaur district to the list of Scheduled Tribes in the State.
Narendra Modi said that the Centre Government had sanctioned various national institutions to Himachal Pradesh during the last eight years. He said that Bulk Drug Pharma Park and Medical Devices Park would be set up in the State which would provide direct and indirect employment opportunities to the youth. He said that he has an emotional relation and bonding with Himachal Pradesh. He said that whenever he visits Himachal Pradesh, he feels that he has visited his second home. He said that in the coming days he would definitely visit the State.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, on the occasion at Mandi, said that it would be a proud moment for the people of the State to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Chhoti Kashi Mandi, but due to bad weather the Prime Minister could not come to Mandi personally.
Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Government of India for according, in principle, approval of Bulk Drug Pharma Park to the State. He said that this Park would prove a game changer for the people of the State. He said that the expected investment in this park was about Rs. 50,000 crore and would provide direct employment to about 30,000 persons. He said that 90 per cent of the project cost with the maximum limit of Rs. 1000 crore would be provided by the Government of India. He said that Himachal Pradesh was one of the three States of the country that was selected for Bulk Drug Pharma Park, which shows the benevolence of the Prime Minister towards the State.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the State was fortunate to have benevolence of the Prime Minister, who was always considerate towards the developmental demands of the State. He said that the people of the State also have a special bonding with the Prime Minister and this was the biggest asset for the State. He said that Medical Devices Park was also sanctioned by the Prime Minister for the State which would go a long way not only in giving a boost to the economy of the State, but will also provide gainful employment opportunities to thousands of youths of the State.
MP and State BJP President Suresh Kashyap also spoke on the occasion and thanked the youths of the State for making this event a mega success. National BJYM President Tejasvi Surya said that the youth of the hills have capacity and potential to bring a quality change in the society. State Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha President Amit Thakur also spoke on the occasion and thanked the youth for making the rally a grand success.
Former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, Vice President BJP Saudan Singh, State BJP Incharge Avinash Rai Khanna, Cabinet Ministers, MLAs, Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of various Boards and Corporation were present on the occasion.
