Solan: The Lawrence School, Sanawar has always been a trend setter in the education world, not only imparting high quality education but also committed to providing excellent opportunities for the all-round development of young students, especially the girl child. Continuing with its tradition of giving back to the society, The Lawrence School, Sanawar has undertaken yet another socially significant initiative. This time the school has decided to provide opportunities to meritorious girl students in class V, in collaboration with the Aumund Foundation by enabling a Scholarship Scheme for girl students to study at Sanawar. This scholarship is for meritorious girl students whose families are normally not able to afford the School fees. The Aumund Group, a Germany based organization believes that education and upbringing of young people are the most valuable investment in the future.
The objective of this scheme is to provide high quality education to talented girl students who are from economically weaker sections. The Lawrence School, Sanawar is steadfast in its mission to bring about positive change in the society through education and this scholarship is an important step in the same direction. The application process as well as the eligibility information for this scholarship is available on the official website of the school.
At the launch of this initiative, the Headmaster Mr. Himmat Singh Dhillon said, “The Lawrence School, Sanawar is arguably the world’s oldest co-educational residential school and ever since its inception it has been providing a caring and enabling environment for high quality growth and development of children, including the children from the underprivileged sections of society. I am happy to invite applications from meritorious girl students to be considered for admission in class V, to study at Sanawar under the Aumund Foundation Scholarship Scheme. We are firm believers in what Mahatma Gandhi said, “If you educate a man you educate an individual, but if you educate a woman you educate an entire family.”
