Shimla: Three people were killed and two seriously injured when their car fell into a gorge at the remote Lingati village of Kaza, Lahaul-Spiti, in Himachal. As per the available information, the tragic car accident took place late Saturday evening. A police officer confirmed the ongoing investigation into the matter.
According to the police, a total of five people were travelling in the Alto car (registration number HP-41-1307) when it met with an accident. Unfortunately, three individuals lost their lives in the tragic incident, and they have been identified as follows:
- Tashi Chering (57) – a resident of Lubang Spiti Valley.
- Dharam Singh (45) – a resident of Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand.
- Laxman (43) – a resident of Nepal.
Among the passengers, two individuals sustained severe injuries and survived the accident. Their names and residential details are as follows:
- Devinder Rawat (30) – a resident of Nepal.
- Raghu Bir (45) – a resident of Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand.
The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident and taking necessary measures to assist the survivors and the families of the deceased during this difficult time.
